      About Me

Hi! I'm Sephyra Clerc and I've been passionate about dance since as long as I can remember. I first started taking classes in my country of birth, Switzerland when I was just five years old, and went on to pursue classical ballet training in various schools in my homeland then in the US where I trained with Ms Gillian Johnson-Poor at Legacy Dance Theatre, where I performed in two shows of the school, The Enchanted Doll Shoppe and Sleeping Beauty as the Lilac Fairy. I then moved to Lambertville, NJ and continued my training with Melissa & Mark Roxey at the Mill Ballet School, performing in character roles in the company's The Nutcracker & Cinderella.
Partway through my dance training I discovered the philosophy and music of Richard Wagner and became fascinated with the idea of blending dance together with the sung drama.
I currently reside in Lambertville, where I spend my time taking and giving virtual dance classes, as well as teaching friends in person in my spare time! I've taught for a year at the Emily Rose Dance Creations studio in Newtown Square, PA, where I had the opportunity of teaching children and adults and of choreographing recital dances for my students. I'm working on creating the danced versions of the great German musical dramas. I also love reading the tragedies of Goethe and Shakespeare, Ancient Greek and Norse mythology, and writing my own fiction about art and the occult, mostly in 19th century or Middle Ages setting.
